Sometimes pregnancy comes at a time when your entire life seems to be spinning out of control.   You may be in an unhealthy or even violent relationship.  Your pregnancy may even be the result of a sexual encounter you didn’t choose.  No matter what is going on, it’s important to remember:

You have options.

You are stronger than your circumstances.

You are not alone.

Life Options will walk through this with you.  We’re not here to tell you what to do, but to provide you with the information and resources you need to make your own decision.   Take your time and make a healthy choice.

If someone is pressuring you to make a decision, remember that you have the legal right to decide the outcome of your pregnancy.  Regardless of their relationship to you, nobody can legally force or coerce you to make a choice you don’t want, including having an abortion.  If you are feeling pressured, come to a safe place and talk with someone who will respect your choice and give the help you need.

No matter how overwhelming it may feel right now, take a deep breath and know that you’ve got this.  You can make a good decision.  We’re on your team.

An ultrasound can confirm whether your pregnancy is progressing, if you are beginning to experience a miscarriage, if the pregnancy is located inside the uterus, and verify how far along you are. If no intrauterine pregnancy is detected, you may be experiencing an ectopic pregnancy—a life-threatening condition that requires immediate emergency medical attention. Ultrasound findings may also affect what medical options are available, including the type of abortion, or when prenatal care should begin.
